In the quiet predawn hours of July 8, 2017, a burst of violence shattered the calm on the northwest side of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, leaving a young life extinguished. Azion Bowman, an 18-year-old African-American male, was fatally shot while seated in a parked car around 1:20 a.m. in the 5600 block of North 95th Street. A 17-year-old female who was with him in the vehicle was also wounded in the attack, suffering serious injuries.
