On a summer evening in Rochester, New York, 24-year-old Markis Ortiz-Harris was waiting in his car to start his shift at the Amazon Fulfillment Center on Manitou Road. It was July 24, 2025, a day that would end in tragedy. As he sat in the parking lot, a man approached his vehicle. That man, later identified as 28-year-old Luis Ortiz-Vega, was known to Ortiz-Harris.
