James Jamison, a 28-year-old Black man from Milwaukee, was fatally shot on the afternoon of September 22, 2017, during a double shooting on Milwaukee's north side near North 40th Street and West Chambers Street. The gunfire occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m. Jamison and another Milwaukee man were both wounded in the attack, turning an ordinary Friday afternoon into a homicide investigation as police and emergency personnel responded to the scene.
