A beloved father is killed on his family farm
In the winter of 1993, a profound loss struck a family in Danville, Virginia, with the death of Silas Calloway, a 71-year-old African American man. A retired construction worker and farmer, he was a cherished father and grandfather. On February 20, 1993, his life was brought to a violent end on his own farm.
