A teen is shot and killed in Denver while riding in a car with his cousin In the early morning hours of a December weekend in Denver, a tragic event unfolded that cut short the life of 15-year-old Demetrius Paul Cruz. The young man was in a vehicle with his cousin near Sheridan Boulevard and West Dartmouth when their car was struck from behind. In a sudden and violent turn, an individual exited the other vehicle and opened fire. Demetrius was struck by the gunfire.
