In the early morning hours of December 8, 2012, the quiet of a Richmond, Virginia neighborhood was broken by the response of the fire department to a house engulfed in flames on Cofer Road. After extinguishing the blaze, firefighters made a grim discovery inside the residence. The body of 77-year-old Walter J. Boone, a male resident of the home, was found amidst the charred remains.
