In the spring of 2014, a violent act shattered the lives of two families in Richmond, Virginia. On the evening of April 23rd, police responded to a report of a shooting in the 2100 block of Mimosa Street. Arriving at the scene, they discovered a vehicle containing two individuals who had been shot multiple times. Inside was 33-year-old Ivan Tyree Bridges, a Black male, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
