Kirk Merrill Pitcher, a 34-year-old man, was found murdered in his home in Taylorsville, Utah, on September 11, 1988. The night before, he had been watching television with friends, who left around 1:00 a.m., after which Kirk was left alone in the house with other roommates who had already retired for the night.
