Emmett Lynch, age 57, was tragically murdered on October 7, 1987, in Tyler, Texas. The double homicide took place at a residence on South Lyons Avenue, where Emmett Lynch and another victim, Mary Hooper, age 62, were both found deceased by a visiting nurse who arrived to provide care to one of the victims. Both individuals were murdered inside the home, and there were no immediate signs that could indicate a motive behind the killings.
