On October 28, 2007, Alvin Decuier Jr., aged 18, was shot and killed while walking along Mulvey Street near Sakowitz in Houston, Texas. The incident occurred around 1 a.m., when Decuier approached an older model gray four-door compact car. Witnesses reported that he briefly spoke with the occupants of the vehicle before a passenger pulled out a gun and fired multiple shots at Decuier.
