On July 6, 2008, 40-year-old Jose Hernandez was fatally shot in Houston, Texas. The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. in the 7000 block of Bissonnet Street. Houston Police Department officers responded to reports of gunfire and found Hernandez with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
