On May 29, 2009, 72-year-old Johnnie Mackey was shot and killed in Houston, Texas. The incident occurred around 9:10 p.m. on the 7700 block of Jester Boulevard. Mackey was found with multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. Another individual, Francisco Garcia, was also injured during the shooting, suffering a gunshot wound to his foot.
