Death by Force

On February 7, 2022, 27-year-old African American male, Charion Lockett, was fatally shot by Houston Police Department officers outside his family home in Houston, Texas. Officers arrived in unmarked vehicles to execute a felony warrant for aggravated robbery. According to HPD, as officers approached, Mr. Lockett allegedly began firing at them, prompting four officers to return fire, resulting in his death. HPD reported that no officers were injured during the incident.
