On September 26, 2010, 27-year-old Ricardo Mendieta was fatally shot in Houston, Texas. The incident occurred in the early morning hours at an apartment complex located in the 7000 block of Hillcroft Avenue. According to initial reports, Mendieta was approached by an unknown assailant who fired multiple shots before fleeing the scene. Emergency responders arrived promptly, but Mendieta was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
