On October 21, 2010, Eric Mendoza, a 20-year-old resident of San Antonio, Texas, was found dead inside his vehicle on Village Path, on the city's northeast side. The incident occurred around 1 a.m., with residents reporting several gunshots followed by the sound of a vehicle speeding away. Mendoza's truck was observed hitting several parked cars before eventually coming to a stop.
