On September 3, 2013, Jeremy Hill, a 23-year-old hip-hop artist from Freeport, Texas, was fatally shot outside a strip club in the Galleria area of Houston. Known in the music community by his stage name "Jit," Hill was affiliated with the Galveston-area label PME2G and was considered a rising star in the local hip-hop scene.
