Edgardo Jaire Gutierrez, an 18-year-old Hispanic male, was tragically shot and killed on July 25, 2020, in Houston, Texas. The incident occurred around 1 a.m. at an apartment complex located at 7000 Fonvilla Street. According to the Houston Police Department, Gutierrez sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the face, chest, and abdomen. He was found lying on the ground near a motor vehicle under a carport and was pronounced deceased at the scene by Houston Fire Department paramedics.
Witnesses reported that Gutierrez was involved in an argument with four males when between four and six gunshots were heard. The suspects, described only as black males, fled the scene on foot. Despite the efforts of the Houston Police Department and Crime Stoppers, the suspects responsible for the deadly shooting have not been identified. Crime Stoppers has offered a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the charging and/or arrest of the suspects.
The investigation into Gutierrez's death is ongoing, and authorities continue to seek the public's help in identifying the suspects.
