On March 31, 2015, 49-year-old Bennie Finister was stabbed in Houston, Texas. The incident occurred at an address on Main Street, where Finister was found critically injured with stab wounds to his lower abdomen. He was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital but succumbed to his injuries soon after.
