Felix Ruiz, aged 48, was involved in a tragic domestic incident on September 6, 2016, in Houston, Texas. Ruiz stabbed his common-law wife, Sofia Martinez, to death in front of their six children. Following the attack, Ruiz attempted to take his own life by cutting his neck but was ultimately unsuccessful. Ruiz had a documented history of domestic violence, with several prior incidents reported between him and Martinez.
