On a Saturday evening, just before 7:00 pm on December 3rd, 2011, a young man named Terry Lajuan Davis was waiting at a bus stop at the intersection of Moorewood Drive and Moorewood Court in Nashville, Tennessee. At 21 years old, his life was cut short in a sudden and violent encounter. While standing at the bus stop, Mr. Davis, a Black male, was approached by two or three unidentified Black males who opened fire, fatally wounding him.
In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, witnesses reported seeing a very tall Black male fleeing from the area. The motive for the shooting remains unknown, and the case has since gone cold. Law enforcement officials have not publicly identified any suspects in the murder of Terry Lajuan Davis, and no arrests have been made in connection with his death. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, and authorities continue to seek information from the public that could lead to a break in the case and bring those responsible for his death to justice.
