Anwar Martin

In the pre-dawn hours of a Friday in late March, the life of 24-year-old Anwar Martin, a Black male, was cut short by gunfire in Memphis, Tennessee. On March 22, 2013, at approximately 1:30 a.m., Martin was fatally shot at the Villages at Cypresswood Apartments located on Horn Lake Road. He had just departed from his girlfriend's residence within the apartment complex when the violent encounter occurred.
