On April 19, 2024, at approximately 11:40 a.m., Memphis police officers responded to a shooting at Beauty Royal, located in the 3400 block of North Watkins Street in the Frayser neighborhood. Upon arrival, they discovered 46-year-old business owner Khaled Eleiwa, also known in the community as Khalid Al Gazowi, suffering from gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
