Just after the stroke of midnight, in the early hours of Tuesday, April 30, 2013, a grim discovery was made on State Route 45 just west of Myatt Drive in Nashville, TN. A citizen placed a call to report a person lying in the road, the victim of a possible gunshot wound. When officers arrived at the scene, they found 24-year-old Joshua Antoine Henry deceased in the roadway, having been shot multiple times.
Henry, a male from the nearby city of Clarksville, was unfamiliar to the area, leaving investigators with the immediate and perplexing questions of what brought him to Nashville that night and who he was with. The initial investigation provided few leads, and the trail began to grow cold.
