On a tragic Wednesday evening in Memphis, Tennessee, the life of 22-year-old Deonte Wiggins was cut short by gunfire. The fatal shooting occurred on September 18, 2013, at the Birch Leaf Apartments on Whitaker Drive. Responding to calls of a shooting at approximately 8:30 p.m., police arrived to a chaotic scene with multiple victims.

Deonte Wiggins was discovered lying on the ground behind the apartment complex, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. ...
