Jarmelle "JoJo" Jones, a 26-year-old University of Memphis student and beloved member of his community, was tragically killed on November 28, 2014, during a home invasion at his mother's residence in Cordova, Tennessee. Jones and his girlfriend were ambushed by two masked men upon their return home after a night out.
