On a summer morning in Memphis, Tennessee, the life of 30-year-old Brandon Byers was tragically cut short in a violent confrontation. On July 12, 2016, Byers and his wife returned to their home to find that it was in the process of being burglarized. Inside, his children were asleep. Acting on instinct to protect his family, Byers confronted the intruders. This heroic act would unfortunately be his last.
