In the late summer of 2016, the life of 15-year-old Charderious Fennell was tragically cut short in Memphis, Tennessee. On Saturday, August 27, 2016, the young male's body was discovered inside a vacant house in the Hickory Hill neighborhood. He had been shot multiple times. The discovery was made by individuals who were looking to potentially rent the property on the 4100 block of Meadow Creek.
Charderious had been living in the Hickory Hill area for about three or four months, having
moved from South Memphis. He was a student at Airways Middle School. In the immediate aftermath of the discovery of his body, the Memphis Police Department's investigation was hampered by a lack of leads. Detectives reported having no suspects and urged the public to come forward with any information that could help solve the case.
At the time, investigators were looking into various aspects of the teenager's life, including whether the shooting was gang-related, as he reportedly did not have many known associates in his new neighborhood. Despite public appeals for assistance, there have been no subsequent public announcements regarding any arrests made or suspects identified in connection with the murder of Charderious Fennell.
