On December 8, 1986, Marcus "Mark" Lee, a 55-year-old resident of Westminster, South Carolina, was found brutally beaten to death during an apparent robbery at his home near the intersection of Richland Road and North Seed Farm Road. Lee, a well-known community figure who operated a lawn mower and motorcycle repair shop beside his home, suffered a traumatic head injury.
