On November 2, 2015, Terry Michael 'Mike' Scott, a 58-year-old man, was found murdered in his home on Refuge Road. Alongside him were the bodies of his 60-year-old wife, Cathy Scott, his 80-year-old mother, Barbara Scott, and Cathy's 82-year-old mother, Violet Taylor.
The scene was one of extreme violence; the victims had been stabbed and slashed, and some had also been shot.
