James C. Simms, aged 31, was killed on July 11, 2008, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The incident occurred in the 500 block of Euclid Avenue in the East Liberty neighborhood. James was shot shortly before 4 p.m. and suffered a gunshot wound to the head. Despite medical efforts, he was pronounced dead the following morning at UPMC Presbyterian hospital.
