In the late hours of a Wednesday evening, on March 30, 2011, the life of 21-year-old Lamont Wallace was tragically cut short in the Spring Garden section of Philadelphia. A young Black man, Wallace was returning home from his job at a Phillies game, a familiar routine that took a devastating turn. He made a stop at a Chinese food store near Broad and Girard Streets, a simple act that would set in motion a fatal chain of events.
