Shateecha Roach, a 27-year-old woman from Pittsburgh, was fatally shot in the early hours of January 1, 2012, during a shooting incident at Club Fever, a nightclub in the Strip District. The incident occurred shortly after a New Year's Eve celebration, when gunfire erupted inside the club. Roach was struck in the neck and chest as she was leaving the club to get into her car, and she was transported to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
