Death by Force

Sean Mathis, aged 43, was shot and killed on January 24, 2012, in Philadelphia's Germantown neighborhood. The incident occurred in the late afternoon while Mathis was sitting in his girlfriend's car on the 5000 block of Tacoma Street. At approximately 4:40 p.m., Sean Mathis was shot in the back, and when police arrived at the scene, they found him lying on the ground near the car. He was rushed to Temple University Hospital but was pronounced dead at 6:41 p.m. that evening.
