In the early morning hours of a summer Sunday in North Philadelphia, the life of William Kenneth Wise, a 43-year-old Black man, was tragically cut short. On July 14, 2013, just before 1:00 a.m., violence erupted on the 2700 block of Sterner Street. Wise, who resided nearby on Huntingdon Street, was shot in the head.
