In the early evening of a cold January day in Philadelphia, the quiet of the Olney Recreation Center was shattered by a grim discovery. On January 29, 2014, at approximately 6:02 p.m., the body of 53-year-old Sharon Allison was found. An African-American female, Ms. Allison had sustained gunshot wounds to her head and one of her arms and was pronounced dead at the scene.
