Lavar Rich, a 23-year-old resident of Pittsburgh, was fatally shot on July 13, 2014, in the Homewood neighborhood of the city. The incident occurred near Brushton Avenue and Race Street, where Lavar was found face down in a grassy area, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his torso.
