Chris Michaux, a 19-year-old male from Pittsburgh's North Side, was fatally shot on August 5, 2011. The incident took place on the 2600 block of Leland Street, following another shooting that involved his mother in a nearby location. This tragic event came just a few years after the 2008 shooting of Chris's 12-year-old sister, Jolesa Barber, highlighting a tragic pattern of violence affecting his family. Chris was taken to Allegheny General Hospital, but he later succumbed to his injuries.
