In the early morning hours of October 11, 2014, a tragic event unfolded on the 1600 block of North 26th Street in Philadelphia. Twenty-eight-year-old Robert Williams, a Black male, was sitting inside a red Nissan when gunfire shattered the pre-dawn quiet at approximately 12:27 a.m. Philadelphia Police officers responded to the scene to find Williams suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest.
