On January 14, 2007, Rudy Valdez, aged 25, was found dead in San Diego, California. He was shot in a motel room at the Economy Inn located on Via de San Ysidro. Officers were dispatched following reports of multiple gunshots and found Valdez suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite paramedics' efforts, Valdez was pronounced dead shortly after.
