Anthony Celious, a 32-year-old Black male from Philadelphia, was killed on August 17, 2015, after gunfire erupted outside a residence on the 200 block of West Nedro Avenue in the city’s Olney section. He lived on that same block, and the shooting unfolded close to home, on the front steps where he and others had been gathered.
