On March 26, 2016, Edward Jefferson, aged 42, was fatally shot in Philadelphia. The incident occurred at approximately 12:40 a.m. when police responded to reports on the 1500 block of North 19th Street. Upon arrival, officers found Jefferson lying face down in a vacant lot, suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest. He was immediately transported to Hahnemann University Hospital, but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries later that morning.
