On May 15, 2016, Gerald Moye, a 29-year-old resident of Philadelphia, was shot and killed. The incident occurred at around 1:17 a.m. in the area of 5500 Old York Road. Philadelphia police officers, who were already nearby, heard gunshots and were directed by a bystander to Moye. He was rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries later that morning.
