Birmingham police are investigating the death of a 21-year-old man who was found early this morning with a gunshot wound in Ensley.

Police identified the victim as Lavar Moore of 5305 Ave. I. Officers discovered Moore about 3:40 a.m. lying in the grass beside his residence.

Police are investigating Moore's death as a homicide. They ask anyone with information about the case to contact the Birmingham Police Department at 254-1764 or Crime Stoppers at 254-7777.
