On August 14, 2016, Gordon E. Johnson Jr., a 33-year-old Black male from Pittsburgh's Hill District, was found deceased in a grassy area off Donson Way in the Lawrenceville neighborhood. His body was discovered next to a burning car he had recently purchased. An autopsy revealed that he had been shot in the chest.
