On April 26, 2016, Aaron Govostes, aged 42, was fatally shot in a home invasion at his residence in Pittsburgh's South Oakland neighborhood. Three intruders entered the home around 10:15 p.m., confronting Govostes’ mother, who was held at gunpoint and threatened by the intruders as they demanded money.
