On December 27, 2016, Garfield Adams, a 37-year-old resident of Philadelphia, was tragically shot and killed. The homicide occurred on the 2300 block of West Atlantic Street. Adams was well-regarded in his community, and his neighbors remembered him fondly. One neighbor, Marietta Barnes, spoke of Adams as a "wonderful neighbor," emphasizing that she had "nothing bad to say about him."
