A teenager was abducted while walking home, her remains were found three years later
On July 11, 1973, 17-year-old Susan Wickersham disappeared in Bend, Oregon. That evening, she dropped off her family's car at the restaurant where her mother worked and waited for friends to pick her up. When they didn't arrive, she began walking home but was never seen alive again. Tragically, nearly three years later, on January 20, 1976, her skeletal remains were found by a woodcutter in a wooded area south of Bend. She had been shot in the head with a small-caliber gun.
