On February 8, 1980, Tommie Lee Jones, aged 35, was found dead inside her residence located at 717 N. Yukon Avenue in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The residence showed signs of forced entry, and Jones was last seen alive on February 6 at approximately 11:30 p.m. When authorities discovered her body, she had suffered a fatal gunshot wound. The condition of the scene suggested a struggle; there were bloodstains inside the home, but the place did not appear to have been burglarized.
