Do you know who murdered Charles? In January of 1983, concerns grew for Charles Samuel 'Sam' Baim, a 32-year-old real estate broker who had made Tulsa, Oklahoma his home for the previous five years. A native of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Baim was a professional with Remax 100 Realtors. His life, however, was cut tragically short in a violent encounter that has remained a mystery for decades.
On January 18, 1983, employees at his condominium complex at 6510 S. Memorial made a grim discovery.
They noticed what appeared to be blood on the exterior of Baim's unlocked front door. Upon entering the residence, they found Baim deceased. It was determined that he had been shot to death. Inside the condo, a television set had been knocked to the floor, suggesting a possible struggle had taken place. It is believed that he had been deceased for several hours before his body was found.
The investigation into the death of Charles Baim has yielded no arrests and the case has since gone cold. The Tulsa Police Department continues to list it as an unsolved homicide, leaving the circumstances surrounding his death and the identity of his killer or killers unknown.
