On May 14, 1999, Martha Delgado Viramontes Moore, age 30, was shot and killed during a reported home invasion at her residence in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The incident occurred late at night when Martha's husband, Shawn Moore, called 911 around 11:08 p.m. to report that his wife had been injured. Shawn also sustained a gunshot wound during the incident but survived. He informed investigators that he had been at home when he heard a gunshot and then saw a man who shot him as well.
